JSI HEPCAP 2 Project In (2015)
Strong leadership, clear policies, and sustained investment have seen Ethiopia make significant progress in health coverage and outcomes. In the past five years, Ethiopia has decreased its child mortality rate by almost 30 percent and is now one of the few countries that have reached Millennium Development Goal (MDG) 4 to decrease child mortality ahead of the 2015 target date. Ethiopia is also on track to meet MDG 6 to combat HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis and concerted efforts are being made to decrease maternal mortality and achieve MDG 5.
Strategic investments in expanding primary health care through engaging communities, building and equipping health facilities health posts and health centers and training and deploying different cadres of health workers; strengthening health systems including logistics and health information systems; and health care financing have been key to bringing about the impressive progress. We have documented the project from all over Ethiopia where the health care are located using state of the art equipment. Here featured are some of the works we did for the non-governmental organization, JSI Ethiopia.
OXFAM DB, Ethiopia (2015)
Ethiopia is facing a massive drought and food insecurity crisis. The trigger for this has been a combination of failed rains and droughts that have been worsened by the 2015 El Niño, 1 which in itself has been supercharged by climate change. Urgent humanitarian action is needed now to support millions of people who have lost food, water and livelihoods. As the climate becomes more extreme, vulnerable communities also need long-term assistance to become more resilient and to ensure food is grown and shared more equitably. We were responsible to showcase the actual disaster to donors through proficient, high-quality photography using state of the art equipment. Here featured are some of the works we did for the non-governmental organization, OXFAM DB, Ethiopia.
